2011 traverse fuse box location

This automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 GM Chevrolet Traverse crossover SUV equipped with the LLT 3.6 liter V6 motor in replacing a blown electrical fuse in either the engine bay or passenger compartment fuse boxes.

Owners of other General Motors vehicles from GMC, Saturn, Buick, and Cadillac such as the Acadia, Terrain, Sierra, Yukon, Savana, Outlook, Verano, Regal, Lacrosse, Encore, Enclave, Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Camaro, Equinox, Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado, Avalanche, Silverado, ATS, XTS, CTS, SRX, and Escalade may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

Assortment boxes of new low profile mini blade fuses can be purchased at Walmart, any auto parts store, your dealership or online at Amazon.

No tools are required to access any of the fuses. Although a flathead screwdriver may be helpful in releasing the engine bay fuse panel cover.

The interior fuse box is located under the front passenger dashboard.

Flip open the dark grey plastic cover to access the fuses.

Use the fuse diagram on the underside of the cover or the one in the owner's manual.

(The fuse puller tool is in the engine bay fuse box, or you could use a pair of needle nose pliers.)

The engine bay fuse box is located at the left rear corner of the engine bay closest to the front passenger seat.

The black plastic top cover is held in place by three plastic clips that need to be firmly pushed inwards to release them.

You may be able to release them by pushing with your finger or you may need the help of a flathead screwdriver.

To remove a fuse, pinch the larger end of the fuse puller tool and place it over the plastic top of a fuse.

Release some pressure on the end of the fuse puller tool and pull the fuse straight out.

Hold the old fuse up to a light source.

If the thin metal strip inside the plastic center of the fuse appears to be broken or shriveled up, the fuse is "blown" and needs to be replaced.

If the metal bar inside the fuse appears to be intact, the fuse should be good and your electrical problem may have a different source. Since fuses are so inexpensive, it should still be replaced as part of your troubleshooting process.

2009-2017 Chevrolet Traverse Interior Fuse Check

The video above shows how to check for blown fuses in the interior fuse box of your 2012 Chevrolet Traverse and where the fuse panel diagram is located. If your map light, stereo, heated seats, headlights, power windows or other electronic components suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out. If your Traverse is experiencing electrical problems, you should always check the fuses first, because they are relatively easy to check and cheap to change. Some Chevrolets have multiple interior fuse boxes even the trunk - the video above will show you where the interior fuse box of your 2012 Traverse is located. The more electronics your Traverse has, the more fuses it has. Some components may have multiple fuses, so make sure you check all of the fuses that are linked to the component in question.

If you need to replace a blown fuse in your Traverse, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse. If checking and replacing the fuse for the component in question doesn't work, we recommend seeking assistance from a trusted professional mechanic. They should be able to figure out if the component needs to be replaced or if there is a short or some other problem with your Traverse.

Interior Fuse Box Location: 2009-2017 Chevrolet Traverse

The video above shows how to replace blown fuses in the interior fuse box of your 2009 Chevrolet Traverse in addition to the fuse panel diagram location. Electrical components such as your map light, radio, heated seats, high beams, power windows all have fuses and if they suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out. If your Traverse is experiencing electrical problems, you should always check the fuses first, because they are relatively easy to check and cheap to change. Some Chevrolets have multiple interior fuse boxes including in the trunk - the video above will show you where the interior fuse box of your 2009 Traverse is located. If your Traverse has many options like a sunroof, navigation, heated seats, etc, the more fuses it has. Some components may have multiple fuses, so make sure you check all of the fuses that are linked to the component in question.

If you need to replace a blown fuse in your Traverse, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse.
