When they use
Reflex, kids
love math.

  • My students are obsessed with Reflex! It’s fun and they are flying through their facts, which is helping in other areas of math. It is far superior to every other boring program I’ve tried. This is the first resource I’ve found which actually helps all of my students with their facts.

  • They have become more fluent and quicker in their ability to solve basic fact problems. The biggest thing that I have seen is the growth in confidence, which has translated into all facets of math that we cover this year. Students have been able to approach math problems in a more efficient way and this has shown through their work process.

5th Grade Teacher, Middle School,West Haven Public Schools, CT
  • Reflex is by far the best math fact fluency program I have used as a parent or an educator. Every one of my students is a success story. Reflex has improved our STAR Math and AIMSweb testing by over 20 percent.

3rd Grade Teacher, Elementary School,Logan Unified School District , KS
  • I love Reflex! It is the best I have used in my 15 years of teaching. They are so much more confident in their facts that they are able to focus on other skills or standards being taught without being overwhelmed. I have seen amazing growth. Their confidence is blossoming and they actually tell me how much they enjoy math now!

ExploreLearning Reflex

Ultimately, ExploreLearning Reflex doesn't teach much; instead, it focuses on math-fact fluency. Unfortunately, it sticks to rote memorization and timed practice. Students memorize more easily by learning "fact families," in which they focus on a set of facts for a group of numbers. On the plus side, Reflex is lightly adaptive, removing the facts students already know as they play, which may keep them challenged. However, it can also promote forgetting facts after assessment. For extra support, Coach Penny offers some helpful tutorials.

That said, the actual content is no more complicated or authentic than long worksheets of numbers and single operations. Also, the game structure may do more harm than good, replacing any intrinsic motivation for learning math relationships with blindly churning through problems to accrue enough points for that next reward in the virtual shop. But if you need some way for kids to practice their math facts in a way that's more fun than a worksheet, Reflex may be a useful tool for your classroom.

Im a 4th grader but read this

I’m in 4th grade but trust me I have good taste, I gotta say that this is a good game. I really want more mini games first up my fave game is the snake one but pls an some more games because I truly like them. I really don’t like the need that when you get a fact down you go down in percent. Right now I’m in 95 but still a girl in my class is in 62 and that is because she’s been going down in percentage (I feel bad for her lol) but anyways it’s good just pls think about it

Parents, read this

I am a student and I’m in grade 3. I think reflex is a great app but in my opinion l think it needs some upgrades. Again this is in my opinion so just know that l don’t want you to change it (although that would be AWESOME) but l want you to hear me out. First, in the beginning you have to charge up the fact fair (I think that’s what it called). It chooses which activities you do. I think it would improve if us kids could choose. Anyway sometimes in the fact fair it would give you darts. The dart game is were you answer facts and if you get it right, it hits a balloon. Honestly l love that one but the problem is it times you while it’s shooting the darts. I think if you speed up the darts speed that would improve a lot. Second, The games are great but there’s a problem. I played this app for a YEAR with school now, and suddenly a game disappeared in my game field. I don’t think there’s a way to fix this. It’s weird how that just happened suddenly. I think it was a glitch. Thank you for reading this. This app is good and all, but l think it needs some upgrades.

This is why you should get reflex ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Reflex is amazing 🤩 I love it what I really love is that it helps you get better at math and I used to not be so good at math but now sense I have got reflex it has helped me a lot and it can help your kids to the more math facts you solve the more coins you get and then when you get a lot of coins you can go and spend some of them on new clothes for your avatar and a lot more you can become really good at math like me let me make a little challenge I have 10, coins I want you to see if you can get more coins than me can you ? Who knows who can you may even get smarter than me I love reflex so much the second I got on reflex I new that there was a hole another me and this is why you should get reflex

ExploreLearning Reflex® adds new math fact fluency learning game SQ’World

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 08, (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ExploreLearning® (a member of Cambium Learning® Group, Inc.) announced that ExploreLearing Reflex® added a new math fact learning game called SQ’World. This game adds to the collection of nine other learning games that help build math fact fluency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reflex is a research-based solution that helps students in grades 2–8 gain quick and effortless recall of basic math facts through adaptive coaching and practice, fun games, and motivating rewards. Students presently enrolled in Reflex have solved more than 23 billion math facts.

In SQ’World, students help Chestnut the squirrel gather nuts and toys before winter arrives by answering math facts correctly to explore new worlds, use power-ups, and battle monsters. Like all Reflex learning games, the videogame-style challenges become more fast-paced as students advance from level to level.

“Our goal from the very beginning was for Reflex to be the most effective, most fun math fact fluency solution in the world,” says David Shuster, Ph.D., founder and president of ExploreLearning. “With the addition of new games like SQ’World, we continue to add to the fun and engagement of Reflex, which in turn supports the research-proven impact it makes on student success and confidence. Kids who enjoy playing Reflex will play it more, and the more they play, the faster they grow.”

As one teacher recently shared, “My students improved greatly on their testing—my math scores were the best they had been in several years. I believe using Reflex helped. The students played ‘games,’ but they learned. They begged daily to get on Reflex.”
