What we're about

If you're looking at this message, you are probably already hooked on Doodles--or know someone who is.-Meet others committed to DWD* At our meetups you may discover neighborhood playmates and even littermates or half sister s and brothers! We started this meetup in 2006, we represent over 1500 doodles of all ages, shapes, sizes & colors. In size, growth and participation, we are the largest #1 doodle meetup group in the country and proud of it! If you're thinking of a doodle addition to your family, come join us & tap into the wealth of information, experience & enthusiasm our members possess and are desperate to share! It's wise to only bring your fully vaccinated doodle, over 6 months of age. It's much safer for an older puppy as they have better social skills in place to support the exhuberant play of the doodle. As the weather warms there will be opportunities for group participation and support for local non-profit events & fundraisers, such as: -PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society) -COLA (Citizens for Off-Leash Areas) -The Humane Society and Reading With Rover! Join our group & tell us about you & your Doodle!! *DWD Doodle World Domination

Seattle Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Doodle Romps Monthly Meetup

Meetup begins at 11:00 AM in Magnuson Park, in the area behind the small dog enclosure. When entering through the main entrance, walk across the bridge and turn right.

We often go down to the water after playing on the field--especially if it is a hot day. Due to other obligations (or just sleeping in), the 11:00 AM group may be quite small. Please don't despair--We generally have 18-35 dogs over the course of the next hour and a half--just not all at once. If you arrive a little late and we're not on the field, we're probably down by the water. To get there, go back past the bridge (don't cross it) and follow the trail for about 1/2 mile down to the water.

Golden Doodle Meetup

Each Meet-Up, we celebrate the diversity of the dog universe by honoring different breeds, categories of dogs, organizations…even different doggy personality types. This Sunday we are celebrating Golden Doodle!

Remember, if you bring a Golden Doodle, 1/2 price drafts are yours for the taking!

—————
As always, entry is free for humans and Bar K Members. For Non-Members bringing a dog, entry is $10 ($15 on Sat/Sun) for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog in the household.
DOG ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Must be current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP/Da2PP and Bordetella)
• Must be properly socialized for group play
• Must be at least 12 weeks old
• Puppies who are under 25 lbs AND under six months of age are allowed in the Small Dog Park only, or on one of our on-leash patios. This is because puppies of that age and size may not have the experience or physical ability to play safely among large adult dogs. Once your puppy is over 25lbs or 6 months of age, they are permitted to play in the All Dog Park.

What we're about

Woof! Doodle Dogs Of Philadelphia is where Doodles (Labradoodles, Goldendoodles, Double Doodles) and their Doodle owners get together for Doodle playdates, Doodle adventures, and all forms of fluffy Doodle goodness. We're a quirky bunch, us Doodle folk, and dangit' we want to to meet other Doodly people and pets, just like us. Join us for Doodle beach days, Doodle play dates, Doodle hikes and even some human stuff too. Who doesn't need more furry friends in their lives? Own one Doodle? Own oodles of Doodles? Then you're in, our Doodle loving friend! We'll even shake a paw on it.

Blue Bell Park Romp & Wissahickon Hike

Let's get out to enjoy the colorful fall foliage in beautiful Wissahickon! Plan to meet first at Blue Bell Park in Germantown in the grassy area to the right of the parking lot for a brief doodle romp.

At 11:15am once all the pups are worn out from playing, those who wish to participate in the hike may follow us down the orange trail towards Valley Green Inn. Please do not be late as I will not be waiting for latecomers. Along the hike, we will pause at Kitchen's Lane dog beach and Devil's Pool for those doodles interested in swimming. The hike will be 5 miles round trip and not very strenuous, but I highly recommend proper footwear/hiking boots. Please be careful where you step as many slick rocks may be covered with leaves. We will also need to cross a short bridge with a mesh metal floor (see photo above), so if your dog is scared or gets their nails caught you may need to carry them. Our midway point Valley Green Inn does have a public restroom and outdoor snack shop if you need refreshments.

Upon our return from the hike, anyone who has worked up an appetite may join us for lunch/drinks only 8 minutes away at waterfront restaurant In Riva on their dog friendly patio.

🐾 Does Your Doodle Wine? 🍷

Mark your calendars for our second most popular meetup of the year at everyone's favorite winery!

Let's first meet at Dog Park at Bush Hill Farm at 1:30pm to let the puppers get some playtime in.

Afterwards, at around 2:45pm, we will drive 15 minutes to Grace Winery to sample their wines while our doods accompany us on the patio. Wine can be purchased as a tasting of 4 wines for $15 or by the glass. Beer tastings, beer by the glass and delicious shared plate food options are also available. Food and beverage orders should be placed in the tasting room and brought out to the tables on the patio.

The winery also features 5 acres of farm animals! Following the wine tasting, we can take a walk around the property with our puppers on leash to visit with the alpacas, horses, goats and donkeys. This has always been a huge hit with the dogs as they get to meet new furry friends up close! The alpacas especially bear striking resemblances to the doodles 😉

***Outdoor seating is limited, so please list any guests you are bringing and update your RSVP if your plans change.***
